Just last week, a few Austin Bedouins got together at Genuine Joe’s Coffeehouse to try and get some things done. It was great to see some of my peeps (Rob, Rein, Bruce, Mando) working alongside me on the things they cared about. The time at Joe’s gave me the opportunity to finally get all of the MindBites videos released from the Lone Star RubyConf Charity Event. Hallelujah!
Tomorrow night (December 11), I will be hanging out downtown with the Austin on Rails crowd. Please feel free to join us at Buffalo Billiards for some billiards and beverage action.

I’ve had the idea for awhile that I really need to get out of the house and spend some time executing on my ideas. It’s tough to get all the stars in alignment and put in consistent quality time on side projects. I’ve decided to dedicate Tuesday evenings (when I’m not at Austin On Rails) to this purpose.
Feel free to join me if you have something that you’d like to work on and would like to meet others doing same.

Perhaps it’s a blog post that you’ve been meaning to write….perhaps you want to work on an open source project that you care about…perhaps you have a startup idea and you are making a go of it. Whatever it is, this can be an excuse to dedicate at least one night a week to kicking some ass on your personal to-do list.
